Real World Test

Derek's Gold Guide (a.k.a. Warcraft Riches) has been and remains on of the most popular gold guides on the market today. And with good reason - it contains some of the most hard-hitting, foolproof strategies available. Derek makes a pretty big claim when he says you can make 500-800 gold per hour, so I decided to put it to the test. The Results? After the break.

The Question. Can I, using Warcraft Riches, make 800 gold per hour using only the strategies contained within?

The Test. I played for one month using Derek's gold strategies and recorded how much gold I had at the end of each hour of play time that I was actively trying to make gold.

The Results. I was able to make a staggering average of 335g per hour of gameplay. Now, it took some time to get started, but one the gold started coming in, it was like turning on a fire hose. I feel that the average would have been much higher had I waited until the gold really started rolling in to start averaging the numbers. My backpack was literally flooded with gold, and all that I did was use the strategies outlined in this guide.

Closing Comments

Now, I'm not going to throw out a huge number, but I will say that I bought my Mammoth and a couple of those nice rings from Dalaran and one or two BoE epics, and I still have plenty of gold left over.
