I'll have to admit, I was pretty pumped about the Dugi's Ultimate Guide before I even downloaded it. After watching the videos of the leveling guide in action, I couldn't wait to download the add-on and start leveling a new Tauren Shaman. The site repeatedly tried to get me to watch help and how-to videos before it would let me download the guide. I just kept thinking, "I know how to install an add-on. Let me download it already." So, after skipping all the the help videos, I found myself firing up WoW with the guide installed. I created my new character and entered the world at which point my enthusiasm for the guide dropped like a rock.

I was confused. There was supposed to be an arrow showing me where to go. There was supposed to be some kind of interface where I could look at settings or something. Why was this not working?! Not to be deterred by confusion, I set about clicking on lots of stuff until I noticed the arrow sitting dead center in my screen right on top of my character telling me where to go and I found the interface for the guide just below and to the left of the map. So, after realizing that I should have watched the help videos, I set off to level my new Shaman.

I almost enjoyed leveling. I normally can't stand it. If there were a way for me to enjoy leveling, this would be it (well, this or leveling in BGs). I was leveling faster and with less grinding than if I had leveled by myself. Dugi's In-Game Leveling Guide made leveling extremely easy - all I had to do was follow the arrow. The arrow won't direct you around hills, so you may have to use the map for that, but otherwise, it really was that simple.

Now, leveling a character from level 1 should be pretty easy for this guide. After all, that is what it was originally meant to do, but what if I use a character that was higher than 1 and has already completed some quests? To be completely honest, I was a little concerned that this wasn't going to work, so I disabled the guide and leveled a character to five. Then I logged out and turned the guide back on, fingers crossed, hoping that it would work.

The guide came up, and there was an arrow on my screen pointing me in the direction of where I needed to go. Even though I had skipped a couple of quests earlier, the guide still figured out what level I was, what quests I had previously completed, and what quest I needed to be working on next.

Overall, the experience with the leveling portion of the guide was a very positive one. It worked as promised and made leveling a character infinitely less painful. If you are looking to level your first character, or even an alt, Dugi's Ultimate WoW Guide is an excellent choice to speed up the process considerably.
